PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO OUR REGISTRATION PROCESS
HYLC is confident we will have a 2021 season, but we are altering our registration process to manage the variables around COVID-19. This will give the board a good sense of how many teams we will need to balance the upcoming season and delay your payment as long as possible.
CURRENTLY WE ARE ASKING YOU TO PRE-REGISTER (HOLD YOUR SPOT)
--No program or USLAX registration fees due at this time.
--Pre-registering will save a player’s spot but payment will be required between 1/11/21 and 1/22/21 or that player could be waitlisted.
--Registration for the 2021 season will be $225 (Scoopers will be $75) Uniforms will only need to be purchased if you are a new player (boys and girls) or for girls if you have outgrown or misplaced your uniform.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DATES
11/30/20 Pre-Registration opens to returning players
12/11/20 Pre-Registration opens to new players
1/10/21 Pre-Registration closes
1/11/21 Registration opens

*Girls Program Note: Players birth dates of September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014 (many first graders) have the option of registering for the Scoopers Clinic instead. U-8 has two practices a week and games vs local towns on Saturdays. The registration fee for U-8 is $225. The Scoopers Clinic is an 8-week session that meets 2 times per week and involves intersquad scrimmages and the cost for this program is $75. The Scoopers Clinics will be no contact with no protective equipment.
Scoopers for players in kindergarten
There will be “A” and “B” teams for most of the groups. Player evaluations for team placement will be made for the Girls U-14 & U-12 and Boys 7/8 grade & 5/6 grade groups.
* The “A” team is a highly-competitive team for the more advanced players in that age group with playing time determined by players’ attendance, effort and success at practices.
* The “B” team will also be competitive but with more practice time devoted to building players’ skills. Playing time for the “B” teams will be determined by players’ attendance and effort at practices. Players will need to demonstrate the basic lacrosse skills such as throwing, scooping a ground ball, catching, cradling, dodging and shooting.
Email us with any questions or attend our virtual parents meetings on 1/6/21 and 1/7/21 (times and dates for specific programs will be communicated later). Information about tryouts, practices, games, coaches and scheduling will be discussed at the parents meeting.
